Built in 1921 to replace a smaller less convenient farm house, the present house is
much younger than it’s attendant out building and barns. What once was the
working centre of a locally important farm has changed much over the years, most
of the land has been sold off and a small village community has been built on
part of it, the rest is still being used for farming and woodland.
|
The present owners bought the property in 1989 together with two hectares
of land and have sympathetically restored it in keeping with it’s original
chacacter. What was a farmyard is planted with small trees and shrubs, leaving
plenty of space for parking cars, horse trailor and vans etc.

The upper floor of the house is totally given over to housing customers
of the B&B and is registered with “Clévacances” who are part of the
National Tourist Authority. The accommodation comprises: two double rooms, one
with twin beds (90 cm width) and the other a double bed of 1metre 40 width. A
small room which can only be let as a adjoint to one of the other rooms, (for a
third adult or a child, bed width 80cm. built over a storage unit) as well as a baby room with a large cot type
bed.
The toilet and bathroom are both communal, as is the lounge, which is
equipped with colour T.V. video player, there are also facilities for making tea or
coffee.
Although many of our customers are
riders etc. for the competitions at nearby Pompadour with accommodation for
their houses on site, it would be wrong to give the impression that we let
exclusively for this purpose and visitors of all kinds discover a perhaps
surprising number of tourist attractions in the area. We can supply tourist
information on request and even help with planning/bookings of all types,
depending on interests.
